World Wrestling Entertainment had a slew of layoffs mere days after WrestleMania 37. On April 12th, 2021. Two of those releases came in the form of one of WWE's legit female tag teams the IIconics Billie Kay and Peyton Royce.
Following their WWE releases, Jessie McKay and Cassie Lee went on a successful one-year run in Impact Wrestling under the moniker ‘The IInspiration. The duo then announced in April of 2022 that they were stepping away from in-ring competition for a while.
Has WWE dropped a subtle hint that an IIconic return can be in store?
It's important to note there have been zero confirmations or indications that the IIconics are returning, or have even considered a return to in-ring action, let alone WWE as of this writing, and this article should be taken as pure speculation.
